With 246+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue-spotted stingrays, bull sharks, grey reef sharks, manta rays and mobula rays (devil rays) - Mirkos Reef offers some of Lombok & Gili Islands's richest reef diving. Water ranges 28-30°C, warmest April, May, November.
Mirkos Reef is a solid pick when you're diving around Lombok. It's a nice drift, not too challenging, and often has good visibility. We usually see a decent population of fusiliers here, often schooling tightly, and it's a reliable spot for blue-spotted stingrays tucked into the sand. Keep an eye out for the occasional dusky shark cruising the deeper sections. It’s a good site for a relaxed dive, suitable for most skill levels, and a nice way to spend an afternoon.
