Samba Vilas Biorock

We’ve always been drawn to Biorock projects, and the one off Samba Vilas is a good example of what a dedicated community can achieve. It’s an easy dive, shallow enough for long bottom times, and ideal for photographers who like to really take their time. You'll navigate a series of submerged metal structures, slowly being reclaimed by nature. Look closely for the smaller residents, like cleaner shrimp and juvenile reef fish sheltering amongst the growing coral branches – we’ve seen plenty of fusiliers and triggerfish too. It’s a gentle, restorative dive, showing real promise for the future of the reef. If you’re interested in conservation or just want a relaxed bimble, this is a solid choice.
