Shallow Turbo - Lombok & Gili Islands
Shallow Turbo, near the Gili Islands, offers a relaxed dive, particularly good for those looking to ease into the Lombok diving scene. The site is a broad, sandy slope peppered with generous patches of staghorn and branch corals. We’ve found whitetip reef sharks resting on the sand here, occasionally even a dusky shark cruising by. Look closely among the corals for seastar shrimp and keep an eye out for blue-spotted stingrays half-buried in the sand flats. It’s a pleasant, easy dive, perfect for a second dive or if you’re getting back in the water after a break.
