Vila Almarick Biorock - Lombok & Gili Islands
The Vila Almarick Biorock site, off the Gili Islands, provides a calm dive, especially good for those newer to currents. We usually drop onto the sandy bottom where the biorock structures are, often seeing small groups of blue-spotted stingrays resting. Look closely at the frames themselves; the hard corals, especially the various staghorn species, are really taking hold. We’ve spotted fluted clams and the small giant clams tucked in amongst the growth too. It’s a nice, relaxed second or third dive of the day.
