Cave Lagoon - Raja Ampat

Cave Lagoon in Raja Ampat offers a different kind of dive, perfect for those days when you're looking for something calmer than a ripping drift. We typically drop in around 10-15 meters, then follow the reef wall into the lagoon itself. The real appeal here is the mix of sun-dappled shallows and the more secluded cave entrances, where you might spot a Slender Snake Eel poking out or even a Pygmy seahorse clinging to a fan. It's a relaxed dive, usually minimal current, making it great for photographers or anyone wanting to linger with the Hayashi's Cardinalfish schooling in the darker corners. While it doesn't boast the big pelagics often seen elsewhere in Raja Ampat, we've had encounters with Olive Ridleys cruising through the lagoon, and there’s always a chance for a Manta. Keep an eye on the seagrass beds for dragonets and the giant clams.
