CHAHAYA HIKMA - Raja Ampat

Chahaya Hikma, a merchant vessel, sits at a comfortable 14 meters, making it a truly approachable wreck for most divers in Raja Ampat. We love how the shallow depth bathes the deck in natural light, making penetration feel less daunting and giving the wreck an almost ethereal glow. You can glide into the hold, imagining the cargo it once carried, or explore the wheelhouse which still offers a sense of its past life. It’s a wonderful place to spend an entire dive, circling the structure, finding the resident cuttlefish camouflaged against the encrusted metal, or watching the schools of fusiliers darting through the superstructure. Our favorite time to dive Chahaya Hikma is late morning, when the sun is high, really illuminating the interior spaces and bringing out the blues and greens of the soft corals now clinging to its every surface.
