Friwen Garden - Raja Ampat

Friwen Garden is a decent enough spot, particularly if you're looking for something relaxed after a drift dive. The reef slope here holds a surprising number of small, interesting critters. We’ve found Eyebar Spinygobies peeking from their holes and tiny, colourful Sidespotted Dragonets scooting across the sand. Look closely for pygmy seahorses on the gorgonians – they’re masters of disguise, as always. It’s not the most dramatic reef in Raja Ampat, but for macro enthusiasts and those who prefer a slower pace, it offers a pleasant dive with plenty to discover if you take your time.
