Manta Sandy - Raja Ampat

Manta Sandy is one of those spots in Raja Ampat where you pretty much know what you’re coming for. It’s a cleaning station, and if the mantas are in, they really put on a show. We’ve had dives here watching reef mantas cruise in, hover over the coral heads, and let the cleaner wrasse get to work. It’s not a deep dive, mostly spent kneeling in the sand or hovering close to the action, making it pretty relaxed for most divers. Beyond the mantas, keep an eye out for Denise's pygmy seahorses if you’re into the smaller stuff, sometimes tucked away in the gorgonians. If you’re visiting Raja Ampat, it’s a good bet for a manta encounter.
