Ot Di Ma - Raja Ampat

Rodman is that kind of Cozumel dive we keep coming back to, not for deep drifts, but for pure, unadulterated blenny hunting. At a mere 7 meters, it feels more like exploring a really well-stocked aquarium than a typical reef dive. We love the patchy coral gardens, a mix of elkhorn and smaller brain corals, which create perfect hiding spots. The real stars here are the small stuff. We’ve spent entire dives just watching the comical antics of barfin and seagrass blennies popping out of their holes, or trying to spot the ridiculously camouflaged sand stargazers buried in the sand. Visibility can be a bit of a mixed bag; sometimes it’s 20 meters and sparkling, other times a bit silty after a strong north wind, maybe 10 meters. We find the mornings are often calmer. If you're a photographer with a macro lens, or just someone who appreciates the intricate details of a reef, Rodman is your spot. It’s not for speed demons or those chasing pelagics, but for anyone who loves slowing down and truly looking.
