With 236+ marine species recorded in the area - including blacktip reef sharks, manta rays, mobula rays (devil rays), pygmy seahorses and sea turtles - Sauyador offers some of Raja Ampat's richest diving. Water ranges 29-30°C, warmest May, November, December.
Sauyador generally delivers with its healthy reef slope, home to several varieties of sweetlips and snapper. Look closely among the bommies for pygmy seahorses, though they can be tricky to spot. It's a reliable dive for photographers who enjoy macro subjects, and usually has manageable currents, making it suitable for most experience levels.
