Why dive here
With 238+ marine species recorded in the area - including blacktip reef sharks, giant moray eels, pygmy seahorses, seahorses and sperm whales - Bolung Point offers some of Sulawesi's richest diving. Water ranges 29-31°C, warmest June, October, November.
Bolung Point gives you a drift dive along a sloping wall. We’ve often found schooling batfish here, sometimes in big numbers, and always a good chance for reef sharks patrolling the deeper sections. It’s a pretty easy current ride, making it a good pick for newer drift divers or those wanting a relaxed dive. Visibility is usually solid, often 20m or more.
