Shark Point - Perhentian Islands

Shark Point, just off Perhentian Besar, is a solid dive for when you want a bit of everything. We’ve had dives here where the current was gentle, letting us drift past fields of honeycomb and bubble coral, spotting bicolour nudibranchs inching along. It’s a good place to look for stonefish, blending right into the reef, and the usual suspects like blackfish and tigerfish patrol the shallows. The real draw, as the name suggests, are the blacktip reef sharks often cruising through, though we've heard whispers of whale shark sightings, too – keep an eye on the blue. We think it’s a pretty easy dive, suitable for most skill levels, and a nice way to spend an afternoon.
