Sugar Wreck - Perhentian Islands

The Sugar Wreck, sitting at a shallow six metres, is exactly what it sounds like – the remains of an old sugar freighter, now a haven for the smaller stuff. It’s an easy, relaxed dive, often with gentle currents. You’ll find schools of yellowstripe scad swirling around the bow and fusiliers darting through the superstructure. Look closely and you might spot a stonefish blending into the metal, or perhaps a curious bicolor nudibranch making its slow way across a corroded plate. We've seen eagle rays cruising by the sandy edges, too. It’s a great spot for newer divers, or anyone keen on a longer bottom time to practice their photography.
