Tuna Bay, Malaysia - Perhentian Islands

Tuna Bay is a good introduction to Perhentian diving, especially if you’re new to the area or still building confidence. It’s a shallow reef, topping out around 13 metres, perfect for long bottom times and really soaking in the details. You’ll drift over a decent spread of hard corals, often spotting various reef fish darting in and out. Keep an eye out for blue-spotted rays resting on the sandy patches and juvenile blacktip reef sharks cruising the shallows. We find it’s best early in the morning before the boat traffic picks up.
