Bajora Cinco - Apo Reef

Bajora Cinco, for us, is Apo Reef showing off a bit. You drop onto a gently sloping reef, but don't get too comfortable. We love the way the reef just drops away into the blue here, a wall that feels endless. That’s where the fun really begins. The soft corals really shine, especially in the shallows, pulsing with the current. We’ve drifted along this wall with schools of blue-lined surgeonfish so thick they felt like a living curtain. Keep an eye out for the trickier stuff – we’ve spotted rosy frogfish tucked away in sponges, and the shy coral beauty often darts between the gorgonians. If you’re into macro and don’t mind a gentle current, you’ll be happy. It’s a site that rewards slow observation, but also offers that classic big-blue feel when you peer over the edge. Bajora Cinco is our pick for a really good mix, you get a bit of everything without feeling overwhelmed.
