With 176+ marine species recorded in the area - including giant moray eels, sea turtles, sperm whales, lionfish and pufferfish - Cavayan Cave offers some of Apo Reef's richest cave diving. Water ranges 28-30°C, warmest May, June, July.
Cavayan Cave offers a different kind of dive on Apo Reef. It’s a series of swim-throughs and small chambers rather than a deep penetration cave, so it’s suitable for confident recreational divers. Look out for sleepy reef sharks tucked into crevices and the occasional turtle navigating the tighter spots. It’s a good option if you want a break from the deeper walls and currents.
