Jack's Point - Apo Reef

Jack's Point is where we truly feel the pulse of Apo Reef. It’s a dynamic wall dive that keeps you scanning the blue and the reef face in equal measure. We’ve drifted along here, watching big schools of fusiliers ripple past, so many you sometimes lose sight of your buddy for a moment. Keep an eye out for the resident black-headed leatherjackets; they’re often a bit shy but curious enough to give you a good look. We’ve found the best encounters happen mid-morning, just as the sun really starts to hit the wall. Look into the crevices for flamboyant blennies – they’re tiny but brilliant, and a real treat if you spot one. The currents here can pick up, so it’s definitely one for divers comfortable with a bit of movement. It’s not an intimidating drift, but you’ll be covering some ground. We’d suggest bringing a reef hook to pause and really appreciate the smaller critters, like the subtle pinktail triggerfish flitting between the corals. This site consistently delivers great visibility, letting you appreciate the sheer scale of the reef dropping away below you.
