MING YEE - Apo Reef

Ming Yee is a proper wreck dive, a big old motor vessel that ran aground on Apo Reef back in '74. You'll find her stern section sitting upright at around 30 metres, with the bow shallower, eventually breaking the surface at low tide. We love that you can really explore here, penetrating the hold, peeking into the engine room, or just marvelling at the sheer scale of the ship. It's a fantastic spot for spotting larger pelagics too; we've seen everything from grey reef sharks patrolling the deeper sections to massive schools of jacks swirling around the mast. Current can be a factor, so we'd suggest hitting it on a neap tide for a more relaxed experience, letting you truly soak in the atmosphere of this ghost ship. The coral growth on the superstructure is surprisingly vibrant, a real testament to nature's reclamation.
