With 176+ marine species recorded in the area - including giant moray eels, sea turtles, sperm whales, lionfish and pufferfish - Morazan offers some of Apo Reef's richest diving. Water ranges 28-30°C, warmest May, June, July.
Morazan is one of Apo Reef's deeper dives, often delivering stronger currents that make it better suited for experienced divers. We've seen schools of bigeye trevally here, swirling in dense bait balls, along with occasional grey reef sharks patrolling the drop-off. Keep an eye out for tuna hunting in the blue, especially in the mornings. It's a site that rewards patience and good air consumption.
