With 176+ marine species recorded in the area - including giant moray eels, sea turtles, sperm whales, lionfish and pufferfish - Punta Bunga offers some of Apo Reef's richest reef diving. Water ranges 28-30°C, warmest May, June, July.
Punta Bunga, on Apo Reef, is a solid drift dive when the current picks up. We’ve seen good-sized reef sharks cruising the wall here, along with dogtooth tuna often hunting in the blue. It’s a site for divers comfortable with moving water, offering a chance to see some pelagics pass by.
