With 176+ marine species recorded in the area - including giant moray eels, sea turtles, sperm whales, lionfish and pufferfish - Tambisaan offers some of Apo Reef's richest diving. Water ranges 28-30°C, warmest May, June, July.
Tambisaan offers a gentle introduction to Apo Reef's diverse waters, typically calmer than the exposed wall dives. We’ve found it's a good spot for spotting reef sharks patrolling the shallower sections, alongside schools of snapper and barracuda. The reef here, while not as dramatic as some other Apo sites, provides a relaxed dive suitable for those wanting a less challenging current profile. It’s a solid choice for extending bottom time and enjoying the reef's steady pulse.
