Diving spot 2 - Bohol

Diving Spot 2 on Bohol is an interesting one, especially if you’re into the smaller, often overlooked critters. We’ve logged some serious bottom time here just hovering over patches of seagrass, which, let’s be honest, doesn’t sound glamorous, but trust us, it delivers. You’ll find yourself slowly drifting, eyes peeled for the tell-tale shimmer of a Cleaner Mimic blenny, or maybe a Pictus Blenny darting amongst the blades. The shallow sections are where we spend most of our time, often in just 5 to 10 metres. This is prime hunting ground for macro photographers, or anyone who enjoys a slow, deliberate dive. Look out for Threespot Righteye Flounder doing their best impression of the seabed, and the almost comical Sandfish. We’ve even spotted juvenile Great Barracuda here, slender silver torpedoes cruising through the sun-dappled water. The lack of strong current makes it a genuinely relaxing experience; you can just hang there, letting the gentle sway of the seagrass lull you. It’s not about dramatic walls or huge pelagics here, but rather the quiet thrill of discovery.
