Habagat Wreck - Bohol

The Habagat Wreck in Bohol isn’t just a pile of metal; it’s a proper ship with a story, sunk upright and still very much a ship. We love that you can swim right into the cargo hold, past schools of fusiliers so thick they block the light, and imagine what it was like when it went down. The bow section, draped in soft corals, is our favourite spot – look closely for those elusive pygmy seahorses tucked into gorgonians. It’s an easy wreck dive, sitting in calm water, making it perfect for newer wreck divers or those who just want a relaxed exploration. Keep an eye out for batfish circling above the deck, and we've often seen lionfish perched on the railings. We'd suggest aiming for a morning dive; the light filtering through the holds then is simply spectacular, illuminating the ghostly interior and adding a real sense of adventure. It’s a site that rewards multiple visits, revealing new details each time.
