Napaling Wall Dive - Bohol

Napaling Wall, just off Panglao, is one of those sites we always try to hit when we're in Bohol. It’s a proper wall dive, starting shallow then just dropping away into the blue. We love drifting along, eyes peeled for those shy dragonfish tucked into crevices and the occasional tigerfish lurking in the darker spots. The corals here are interesting, a mix of robust porcelain and corrugated varieties, plus big plates of Chinese lettuce coral that create fantastic shadows. Keep an eye out for the smaller stuff too. We've often spotted the charming hermit crabs scuttling about, and if you’re lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of a two-toned pygmy squid changing colours. Visibility is generally excellent, often 20 metres or more, making it a great spot for photographers. It’s a relaxed dive, no strong currents usually, so it suits anyone from advanced open water upwards who enjoys a leisurely drift along a beautiful drop-off.
