Why dive here
With 143+ marine species recorded in the area - including barracuda, mandarin fish and pufferfish - Sumilon Island offers some of Bohol's richest diving. Water ranges 28-30°C, warmest May, June, July.
Sumilon Island offers a good drift dive, especially along its western side. We’ve found the currents here can really pick up, pushing you past sloping reefs dotted with barrel sponges and gorgonians. Keep an eye out for schools of snapper and barracuda moving through the blue. It’s a solid pick for divers comfortable with a bit of current who appreciate a dynamic reefscape.
