Sunken Island - Bohol

Sunken Island in Bohol is less an island and more a submerged pinnacle, topped with the remains of an old fishing boat. We’re talking about a wreck that’s now completely part of the reef, a metal skeleton draped in soft corals and sponges. You’ll weave around the structure, often spotting schools of yellow-fin barracuda cruising overhead and a surprising number of nudibranchs clinging to the encrusted hull. It’s a pretty mellow dive, generally without strong currents, making it a good spot for those who want to take their time poking around the nooks and crannies. We usually find it’s a good second dive after something with a bit more current.
