USS Cisco - Bohol

The HMS Fiji isn’t for the faint of heart, or indeed, the novice. Dropping down onto this wreck, we’re always struck by its sheer scale. It’s a proper warship, a Crown Colony-class cruiser from 1939, resting deep in the Cretan waters. You can feel the history as you descend, imagining the chaos of its sinking. The wreck is largely intact in places, offering plenty to explore for technical divers. We’ve found barracuda often school around the mast, and the deeper sections are home to some impressively large groupers, lurking in the shadows. The visibility here can be superb on a good day, giving you incredible views of the ship’s structure. It’s a challenging dive, currents can be strong, but for experienced wreck divers, it’s a truly rewarding site. Our favourite part is navigating the superstructure, feeling the cool water push you gently past corroded steel plates, knowing very few divers ever get to see this.
