We like the Black Forest for a different flavour of diving in Bohol. It’s a slope, really, that gradually dips down into deeper water, covered in these striking black corals. They stand out against the usual reef colours and make for some great photographs, especially when you catch a sunbeam just right. Take your time here; we’ve spotted some unusual cowries tucked away, like the porous cowry, and even Ernie’s sueviota if you’ve got a good eye. It’s a relaxed dive, mostly current-free, good for macro lovers and photographers looking for something a bit unique without too much effort.
