Maite Marine Sanctuary - Dumaguete
Maite Marine Sanctuary is a nice little spot just south of Dumaguete. It’s a pretty easy dive, dropping down to about 20 metres, perfect for newer divers or if you’re just looking for a relaxed afternoon. The reef itself is mostly a slope of hard corals, with a good smattering of table corals and branching varieties creating plenty of nooks and crannies. We usually find groups of damselfish flitting about, and often spot a few nudibranchs if you slow down and look closely. It’s not going to blow your mind, but it’s a perfectly pleasant dive for stretching out your bottom time.
