With 496+ marine species recorded in the area - including barracuda, blacktip reef sharks, blue-spotted stingrays, bull sharks and octopuses - Olang Sanctuary offers some of Dumaguete's richest reef diving. Water ranges 28-30°C, warmest June, July, October.
Olang Sanctuary is a mellow reef site just off Dumaguete, perfect for a relaxed dive. We’ve always found it a good spot to ease back into things, especially if you haven't been in the water for a bit. The reef here, topping out at 21m, is an easy depth for beginners or anyone looking for a longer bottom time. You’ll drift past patches of hard corals and anemones, with plenty of small reef fish flitting about. It’s a comfortable, unchallenging dive, and a nice way to spend an hour underwater.
