With 496+ marine species recorded in the area - including barracuda, blacktip reef sharks, blue-spotted stingrays, bull sharks and octopuses - On the Rocks offers some of Dumaguete's richest diving. Water ranges 28-30°C, warmest June, July, October.
On the Rocks is a straightforward shore entry dive in Dumaguete, good for shaking off the rust or for newer divers. The site bottoms out at 18m, largely a rocky slope with scattered corals, home to crabs, nudibranchs, and a few small reef fish. We find it’s a decent spot for practicing skills or just enjoying a relaxed afternoon dive, without strong currents to worry about.
