With 496+ marine species recorded in the area - including barracuda, blacktip reef sharks, blue-spotted stingrays, bull sharks and octopuses - Salagdoong offers some of Dumaguete's richest diving. Water ranges 28-30°C, warmest June, July, October.
Salagdoong is a straightforward shore entry dive popular with local instructors for training and skills practice. The reef slope here holds some decent hard coral formations and you’ll often find turtles munching away. It's a relaxed site, good for knocking the rust off your buoyancy or for those newer to diving who want an easygoing session. Expect decent visibility on calm days, though it can drop after heavy rain.
