With 496+ marine species recorded in the area - including barracuda, blacktip reef sharks, blue-spotted stingrays, bull sharks and octopuses - Solangon offers some of Dumaguete's richest diving. Water ranges 28-30°C, warmest June, July, October.
Solangon offers a gentle slope dive off Dumaguete, good for shaking off the dust or for newer divers. The sandy bottom transitions into patches of soft coral, providing homes for crab species and nudibranchs. We often spot garden eels swaying in the milder currents here. It's a relaxed dive, usually calm, and a solid choice for a second or third tank.
