With 87+ marine species recorded in the area - including sea turtles, thresher sharks, lionfish and pufferfish - Lapus-Lapus 2 offers some of Malapascua's richest diving. Water ranges 28-31°C, warmest May, June, July.
Lapus-Lapus 2 offers a relaxed dive, often picked for a second tank when the conditions on other sites are a bit more challenging. It’s got a sandy slope, dotted with various sea grasses like halodule and cymodocea, which are surprisingly pretty up close. We’ve spotted amberfish cruising through, and if you look carefully in the sand, you might find a brittle star or two. It’s a good spot for newer divers, or when you just want a chill dive without strong currents.
