With 87+ marine species recorded in the area - including sea turtles, thresher sharks, lionfish and pufferfish - Los Bamboos offers some of Malapascua's richest diving. Water ranges 28-31°C, warmest May, June, July.
Los Bamboos offers a relaxed dive, a nice contrast to some of Malapascua’s more adrenaline-fueled sites. We often see thresher sharks here, not always in a big show, but often gliding by in the deeper sections, maybe an amberjack or two keeping them company. It’s also a good spot for finding smaller stuff tucked into the sea grass beds, like the Savigny's Brittle Star. We'd suggest Los Bamboos for those looking for a calmer dive after chasing mantas or exploring wrecks, or for photographers keen on patience.
