The Surigao Del Sur wreck offers a different kind of dive for Siargao. This isn't a pristine coral garden; it's a merchant vessel, abandoned after a fire back in '90, now sitting at 40 meters. We’ve found the stern section the most interesting, with plenty of nooks for snapper and grouper. Visibility can be a bit hit or miss, so pick your day, but when it’s good, the sheer scale of the wreck is impressive. It’s a dive for those who appreciate history and the slow reclamation of steel by the ocean, rather than just vibrant reef life.
