With 82+ marine species recorded in the area - including manta rays, mobula rays (devil rays), whale sharks and pufferfish - Tongatok offers some of Siargao's richest diving. Water ranges 27-30°C, warmest June, August, September.
Tongatok is a gentle, shallow dive to 22 meters, ideal for newer divers getting comfortable in Siargao. We find a mix of sandy patches and smaller coral formations here, good for spotting nudibranchs if you go slow. The conditions are usually calm, making it a reliable spot for checking buoyancy and enjoying a relaxed bottom time. It’s a solid introductory dive, not flashy, but dependable.
