Helmuth Reef
Why dive here
With 477+ marine species recorded in the area - including barracuda, blacktip reef sharks, blue-spotted stingrays, dolphins and eagle rays - Helmuth Reef offers some of Tubbataha Reef's richest reef diving.
Helmuth Reef is pure Tubbataha, a wall dive dropping deep, coated in hard corals and a surprising number of giant barrel sponges. We've often found grey reef sharks patrolling the drop-off, particularly in the mornings. Keep an eye on the blue for manta rays gliding past the wall. It's a great spot for experienced divers looking for larger pelagics in a classic Tubbataha setting.
