Washing Machine - Tubbataha Reef

Washing Machine in Tubbataha is exactly what it sounds like, a real spin cycle. It’s a drift dive, pure and simple, and usually a pretty fast one. We drop in on one side of a channel and let the current carry us through, often swirling over the coral flats at around 22 meters. Keep an eye out for grey reef sharks cruising the deeper edge and the schooling fusiliers that seem to enjoy the ride as much as you do. It’s an intermediate drift, so you need to be comfortable moving with the water. If you like a speedy transit with the occasional vortex, this is your spot.
