The HERO wreck sits upright in about 28 meters of water off Singapore’s Southern Islands, a silent reminder of its dangerous past. Dropping down, you’ll find a motor vessel that has become a home for a surprising amount of life. We've seen schools of fusiliers swirl around the superstructure, and the occasional batfish cruises by, inspecting new arrivals. The main draw here is the structure itself; you can explore the deck and get a sense of the ship’s original layout, imagining its final moments. It’s a good spot for divers looking for a bit of history beneath the waves and a chance to observe how life reclaims what’s lost.
