PITHO - Southern Islands
Pitho, a tugboat resting at 15 metres, is one of Singapore’s more accessible wrecks, having gone down in 1959. She’s surprisingly intact for her age and provides some interesting swim-throughs into the engine room and bridge, if you’re comfortable with overhead environments. The wreck draws in plenty of damselfish, fusiliers, and barracuda, often circling the superstructure. We've even spotted a turtle or two munching on the corals growing on the hull. It’s a great site for divers looking for a bit of history and some compact wreck penetration without excessive depth or current, though visibility can be variable.
