SUMBER JAYA - Southern Islands
Sumber Jaya is one of Singapore’s more accessible wrecks, a single-deck ferry now resting upright at 18 metres. Built in 1997, the 37.8-metre vessel is still largely intact, offering easy penetration points into the wheelhouse and cargo holds for those comfortable with overhead environments. We’ve found resident schools of fusiliers often swarm the superstructure, and curious batfish will frequently circle divers. Look closely for nudibranchs on the deck plating and the occasional bamboo shark tucked away underneath. It’s a rewarding dive for wreck enthusiasts keen on a relaxed exploration.
