Koh Haa Yai #5 (Cathedral) - Koh Lanta & Phi Phi

Koh Haa Yai #5, often called "The Cathedral," is a really approachable cave dive, perfect for those curious about overhead environments without anything too committing. We usually drop onto a sandy bottom at about 18 meters, then follow the reef wall into the main chamber. Inside, the light streams down through several openings, creating some dramatic shafts that really live up to the 'cathedral' name. You’ll find plenty of small schooling fish here, like glassfish, and we’ve spotted leopard sharks sleeping on the sand a few times too. It's an excellent spot for beginners looking to try a cavern, or for photographers wanting to play with light.
