Koh Kra - Koh Lanta & Phi Phi

Koh Kra might not be plastered on every postcard, but for us, it’s a quiet favourite. It’s got that delightful mix of reef complexity and fish action that just makes for a good dive. We often find ourselves drifting slowly along the reef edge, watching the constant comings and goings of Troschel's parrotfish and those striking Diana's hogfish, their colours really popping against the corals. The real magic here, though, is often in the details. Keep an eye out for the Actor Coral Gobies perched on their coral heads, totally unfazed as you glide by. And the schools of Silver Javelin can be surprisingly dense, creating a shimmering wall that you just have to swim through. It’s a site that rewards patience. We’ve had some cracking dives here just settling in one spot, letting the reef life come to us. It suits divers who appreciate a relaxed pace and aren’t just chasing the biggest pelagics.
