THEPVIPA - Koh Lanta & Phi Phi

The Thepvipa wreck rests in surprisingly shallow water, making it a different kind of dive for the region. She’s a decent size at 86.9 meters, an old motor vessel from 1959, and you can really feel that history as you swim along her hull. We’ve seen big schools of snapper hanging around the superstructure, and plenty of lionfish have made homes in the deeper sections of the wreck. Due to the depth, it’s a good spot for extended bottom times, perhaps for photographers or newer wreck divers wanting to get a feel for a substantial artificial reef without the pressure of deep water. Just be mindful of the currents, they can pick up a bit depending on the tide.
