With 173+ marine species recorded in the area - including blacktip reef sharks, eagle rays, giant moray eels, whale sharks and clownfish - Crap Island offers some of Similan Islands's richest diving. Water ranges 29-31°C, warmest April, May, June.
Crap Island isn't going to blow your mind, but it’s a solid enough Similan dive when conditions are right. We've seen reef sharks cruising through the bommies, and there’s usually a good show of fusiliers and snappers schooling around the deeper rocks. It’s a decent drift for those who like to cover ground, often with a pleasant current pushing you along. Think of it as a good second or third dive of the day, a relaxed one.
