Hin Bida - Similan Islands
Hin Bida is a solid choice when you’re looking for something a bit different in the Similans. It’s essentially a submerged pinnacle, breaking the surface at low tide and then dropping away to a sandy bottom. We like it for the smaller stuff – keep an eye out for Floral wrasse darting between the rocks and the subtle beauty of Dollfus’s octopus if you’re patient. It’s also one of those spots where a Whale Shark might just cruise by, though we wouldn’t bet the farm on it. This site is generally pretty calm, making it a good option for an easy second dive or for newer divers getting comfortable with currents.
