With 173+ marine species recorded in the area - including blacktip reef sharks, eagle rays, giant moray eels, whale sharks and clownfish - Hin Daeng offers some of Similan Islands's richest pinnacle diving. Water ranges 29-31°C, warmest April, May, June.
Hin Daeng is a large pinnacle dive, often exposed to the open ocean swell. The main attraction here is the chance to see manta rays and whale sharks, particularly during the cooler months. We've often found ourselves hanging off the reef in a ripping current, so it’s definitely one for experienced divers comfortable in stronger conditions. Keep an eye on the thermoclines, they often bring in the big stuff.
