With 173+ marine species recorded in the area - including blacktip reef sharks, eagle rays, giant moray eels, whale sharks and clownfish - Ko Yung offers some of Similan Islands's richest diving. Water ranges 29-31°C, warmest April, May, June.
The northernmost island in the Similans, Ko Yung offers a relaxed drift over sloping reefs. You’ll spot the usual reef fish here, along with the occasional reef shark cruising by. It’s a good spot for a second dive or for divers who prefer a gentler pace after some of the more exposed Similan sites. Expect a comfortable current and solid visibility most days.
