With 173+ marine species recorded in the area - including blacktip reef sharks, eagle rays, giant moray eels, whale sharks and clownfish - Ko Yung Pinnacle offers some of Similan Islands's richest pinnacle diving. Water ranges 29-31°C, warmest April, May, June.
Ko Yung Pinnacle is a solid dive, tucked away from some of the busier Similan sites. We usually find schools of jacks circling the main rock, and the reef itself has a good covering of hard corals. It’s a good spot for a relaxed second dive of the day, with mild currents typically making it easy for newer divers. Keep an eye out for whitetip reef sharks resting on the sandy bottom.
